The “Power of Your Voice” is a free two-day workshop that is focused on training young girls, aged 10 – 13 to be leaders and achievers. In this training event, each workshop will last three hours and will take place at Prince Georges Community College Center for Performing Arts on Saturday, September 24th and Saturday, October 1st from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
Workshop participants will learn leadership skills, critical thinking, public speaking, class participation, self-confidence and motivation. This workshop will help school children to improve their public speaking and presentation skills, interpersonal communication, leadership skills and self-confidence. Effective communication and presentation literacy are essential for success in one’s professional and personal life. It will help students to develop the powerful communication habits and leadership skills necessary for success.
This workshop will produce exercises in the class that help them present speeches and project reports with confidence, overcome stage fright and improve class participation. Debates and discussions will stimulate their logical thinking, collaboration and intellectual processing of information.
